"Primeira ferrovia do estado.
A linha que ligava Caxias do Sula à Porto Alegre foi inaugurada em, 1874. Foi desativada em 1980. A estação de Forqueta foi inaugurada em 1910, de onde saiam madeira de pinho e vinhos. Hoje o prédio da estação aparenta estar abandonado. Mas vale dar uma caminhada por lá. Rende boas fotos.
