A benção da igreja aconteceu em 2/02/1878, sua arquitetura apresenta elementos arquitetônicos góticos e barrocos, além de vitrais e afrescos e a imagem da padroeira - Nossa Senhora do Amparo - veio da cidade do Porto, Portugal, foi encomendada por dona Anna Cintra, esposa do Barão de Campinas.Como nossa visita aconteceu no período da Páscoa, algumas imagens e até mesmo altares estavam cobertos.
Para quem aprecia monumentos/edificações sacras, históricas e de bela arquitetura recomendo. Realmente vale a pena conhecer. Recomendo."
