What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find the Jardim Botânico de São Paulo to be a beautiful and peaceful place, ideal for a relaxed stroll and appreciating nature. While some wish for more detailed plant descriptions, the well-maintained gardens, serene ponds, and unique bamboo trails are consistently praised. It's considered good value, especially when combined with the nearby Zoo.
"Absolutely beautiful oasis of peacefulness. The garden is very well maintained. Some areas are kept wild like the trail at the end of the garden, which adds to the atmosphere. There you can enjoy a piece of the Atlantic rainforest right in the heart of the city.
Another great thing about this garden is that you can spot some wildlife, including monkeys and even toucans. Although rare, it took me three attempts to be able to see one, they can be spotted in the garden. I would recommend coming right when the garden opens and to look for fruiting palm trees. They generally mingle there."

"If you don't own a car, but you want to connect con nature. This is agreat place to go. It is a botanical garden located in a rest of Mata Atlantica forest. You may go by Uber or even by public transport."
Ulrich Flasche
"Nice garden to spend a couple of hours in the morning in June. Was hoping for more plants and descriptions but overall still good value if you are into botany.
Found out late. Shuttle to zoo only for those that buy combo tickets. Also hard to find anyone that speaks even little English including ticket agent."
