A imagem do Senhor Bom Jesus que fica bem ao centro do altar.
A capela foi oficialmente elevada à categoria de paróquia em 4 de março de 1898, fato curioso é que a paróquia é mais antiga que o próprio município, pois Matão foi elevada a esta categoria somente em 27 de agosto do mesmo ano.
