What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the spectacular panoramic views from Mirante da Janela, calling it one of the most beautiful spots in Brazil. The challenging yet rewarding hike and the stunning sunset are frequently praised. Some note the inconvenience of cash-only payments and the mandatory guide fee after 2 PM.
"There is free parking at the trailhead. After around 10 min walking you will reach the gate where you pay R$40 for entrance. Credit card is not accepted. Only Pix or Cash.
If you enter after 2pm a guide is required. The weather is pretty hot during the day, so bring enough water. The trail is well maintained and the view on the top is spectacular. You get a panoramic view of the valley and waterfalls. Personally I think this is the best trail in this national park.
Also the sunset is very nice. So suggest you go in the afternoon and stay until the sunset. If you don't want to stay too late at the mirante, cachoeira-abismo at 1.8km is also a good point to view the sunset (that was where I did it)"

"Spectacular falls, I think the dry season made it more special. Challenging trek to the viewpoint and a stunning sunset to finish it off. "

"If y are prepared for one of the more difficult tours which will take y about one hour and 30min each direction but compensates with an really breathtaking view y have to go there."
