What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Orquídeas Waterfall for its unique red-hued water and the natural beauty of the park. The well-maintained trails and opportunities to see wildlife are highlights. However, it can get very crowded on weekends, detracting from the peaceful experience.
"Nice public park with as main attraction the waterfall. The waterfall is not very high, but it is a very strong waterfall. You cannot swim or walk against the current of the waterfall. Through the sides you can reach the main stream that then brings you back to the shore. The water has a beautiful red/dark orange colour and the park has many signs explaining plants in both Portuguese and English. The walk path is in good condition and you can easily walk with flip-flops. Lastly, there are many monkeys around and you can sometimes hear the howler monkeys howl."

"Nice place. It's free and has a small waterfall with a pool. I wouldn't recommend going on a Sunday though as it gets very busy with locals."
