Esse parque é uma grande área de preservação ambiental entre os bairros Barra do Jucu e Praia de Itaparica, sendo a menor parte dela a parte onde o público pode circular, todo o resto é vegetação. Ele possui 2 entradas diferentes, proporcionando 2 experiências diferentes.
Quem opta por entrar pela Praia de Itaparica vai entrar pela nova ciclovia de 3km de extensão que liga os turistas até a outra parte do parque. Pelo caminho você vai contemplando o visual incrível, de um lado vegetação nativa e do outro o mar.
Já quem optar por entrar pela Barra do Jucu, vai entrar direto na Ponte da Madalena, uma ponte de aproximadamente 90m sob o Rio Jucu que foi recém reformada também. Ao final da ponte vocês vão encontrar o Memorial do Congo, um homenagem a uma das manifestações culturais mais importantes do estado.
