Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Pedra do Ingá for its well-preserved petroglyphs and historical significance, often highlighting the peaceful, uncrowded atmosphere. While some note the site's remote location, most find the journey worthwhile for its unique archaeological insights and natural beauty. The free entry and good access roads are also frequently mentioned positives.

"Beautiful stone with well preserved petrogplyphs from the indiginous people. The stone is a bit in the middle of no where and when we visited we were the only people. There is a total of four places were you can clearly see petroglyphs. The main stone carving resembles a flood with a wave, followed by plants, palms and people. Some stone carvings also seem to represent stars. The site also has an information panel and many trees/plants have an information sign explaining what the plant is. There is also a small museum with an entrance of 5 real. Overall, really worth visiting this archeoligical site. The entrance is surprisingly free and the access road is in good conditions. The walking path to and around the Ingá stone are in good condition but some places might be difficult to walk for older people."
