O acesso é feito por barcos ou pela estrada que leva o mesmo nome da praia. Da praia, é possível apreciar o canal do Porto de Santos e ainda visitar a Fortaleza da Barra Grande. Uma praia pequena e rústica não é muito visitada pelos turistas, tendo na realidade como principal atração a Fortaleza da Barra Grande.
