The friendly guides and beautiful natural setting are frequently highlighted as major positives, making it a highly recommended day out for families and couples seeking adventure.
"Our guide, Marina, was excellent.
Lunch was truly delicious and there were great options for everyone: I am gluten-free and vegetarian and I loved the lunch. My meat-loving son also loved lunch.
The ropes course was great fun and we enjoyed hanging out there as well. If I went again, I would also do the other activities."
Corinne Drumheller
"Great trails, horseback rides, standup paddle, zip line, river floating and many other water related activities with good food included. You may take an activity and spend the whole day there."

"Beautiful day at a very special place !!
Parque Ecológico Rio Formoso is a very special place for our family that we visit each time we come to Bonito. The staff are very welcoming and as soon as we exited the car they were there to greet us and explain the necessary instructions. The Boia Cross tour is a great, we experienced the beauty and peace of the Rio Formoso while also enjoying the rapids at various points. The guides for the boia cross are always a lot of fun and make the tour fun and pleasurable.... The horse riding tour is also very memorable riding through the nature of the farm and forest for 2 hours and stopping half way for a swim in the Rio formoso close to some pleasant rapids... An added bonus is after the tours you can relax and swim as long as you want besides the large lagoon where they have stand up paddle, paddle boats and a flying fox which is really cool and relaxing and fun for everyone...."

In-depth insights and expert knowledge
The Thrill of the Boia Cross
The beauty of the Boia Cross lies in its accessibility. It's not an extreme sport, making it enjoyable for a wide range of ages and fitness levels. The guides often share insights about the local flora and fauna, adding an educational element to the adventure. The feeling of floating peacefully through the Brazilian countryside, punctuated by small, exhilarating rapids, is a memorable part of any visit.
For the best experience, wear your swimwear and be prepared to get wet. While professional photos are available, many visitors opt to capture their own moments with waterproof cameras or phones, though securing them properly is key.
Beyond the River: Other Park Activities
For those seeking a bit more adrenaline, the ropes course and zip line offer opportunities to challenge yourself and enjoy the forest canopy from above. These activities are well-maintained and provide a fun, active experience. After your guided tours, the park also offers complimentary access to a lagoon where you can enjoy stand-up paddleboarding and canoeing, allowing for a more relaxed pace.
Many visitors appreciate that these activities can be combined into an all-day experience, with delicious meals often included in activity packages. This makes the park a comprehensive destination for adventure and relaxation in one place.
Dining and Amenities
The park also provides amenities such as restrooms and changing facilities. While the main lagoon for free activities might not be the most expansive, it serves its purpose for a casual swim or a bit of paddle time. The overall atmosphere is welcoming, with staff often noted for their friendliness and helpfulness from the moment you arrive.
While the park offers a great experience, some reviews mention that the lagoon for free activities isn't as impressive as other natural swimming spots in the Bonito region. However, the value of the included meals and the quality of the paid tours often outweigh this minor point for many visitors.
