Reviews Summary
The Serra das Emergências Trail is praised for its stunning summit views of Búzios and Cabo Frio, especially when accessed from the easier Jose Goncalves side. While the rainforest path is beautiful, hikers caution against the more difficult Tucuns route due to potential wildlife encounters.
"Difficult to find the beginning of the way - but then it gets amazing!
Start from Jose Goncalves, turn left when you pass the little pond. From this side, the way is very easy through rainwood forest where you can see butterflies and little monkeys. Beautiful! It takes you appr 40 minutes to get up. The view is very nice, if you're lucky and have a blue sky.
Careful with getting up from the Tucuns side! The way is more difficult and we were warned of the cobras is these woods. We came across one and it's not an experience you want to have."
