What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Serra do Espírito Santo for its breathtaking sunrise and panoramic views of the Jalapão Cerrado. The challenging hike is seen as a rewarding experience, though many advise proper footwear and an early start. Some note that popular photo spots can get crowded.
"Highly recommend starting your ascent up the trail bright and early in the morning; no later than 4:30am. The ascent is steep and rocky so hiking boots are most definitely recommended even though most tour guides will tell you sneakers are just fine. You will break a sweat; bring a change of clothes and also a couple of snacks to hold you over while the sun rises. Can’t rush nature! Overall this was a fantastic experience and although it is a struggle to wake up early and climb a mini mountain, it must be done. You’re in Jalapão only once - don’t be lazy!"
