What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning natural beauty of the Guapimirim entrance, particularly the refreshing Poço Verde and the fun-filled Cachoeira da Barreira. The free entry and parking are significant draws, though some note that the park can be tricky to find and recommend guides for longer trails.
"One of the most beautiful and remnants of the Atlantic forest I have ever seen. The climate is cool, and the park is enormous. You can access the park in Theresópolis city. There are many trails you can visit (be sure to take a local guide with you). There is even a suspended trail which takes you deep into the forest in an amazing trip. I enjoyed every second there. I do recommend it."

"Amazing place!!
Spent the whole morning chilling at the Poço Verde (there's a cool 'cliff jump' from the big rock by the falls). Later on went to visit the small church from the 18th century.
It costs 32 BRL for foreigners and 16 for Brazilians, the place is well maintained but tricky to get too, don't miss the small road on the GPS and you'll be grand!!"
