What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Trindade Beach offers a stunning natural paradise with beautiful beaches, clear waters, and lush rainforests, perfect for surfers and hikers. Visitors praise the 'hippie' vibe, great food, and breathtaking scenery. However, some caution that the ocean waves can be treacherous for the uninitiated and children, and alcohol consumption should be avoided near the water.
"Different from the bay beaches in Paraty, the ocean beaches in Trindade are good spots for surfing, but can be treacherous for the uninitiated and kids. Alcohol and swimming never mix, but much less so in Trindade. However if you are a surfer, hiker, and enjoy breathtaking scenery, a short trip to Trindade (10 miles from Paraty) is all you need. Cepilho, Fora, Rancho are the first beaches after you arrive in Trindade. At the end of Meio (Middle) Beach, a short hike takes you to Caixa d'Aço (Steel Box) Beach, where you will find less crowds and a great beach restaurant (Casa Caiçara). However, it is better to stop there after returning from visiting the natural pool after taking the trail at the end of the beach (about 30 min in a a forest trail of medium difficulty each way, proper shoes are recommended). Do not forget to stop at Restaurante Quilombo do Campinho on your way back for a great meal."
