What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Vale do Amor Sacred Garden for its beautiful, mystic, and uplifting atmosphere, offering serene views and a peaceful escape. However, some find the entrance fee steep for the experience, especially on crowded weekends when the focus shifts to selfies rather than tranquility. The unpaved road access is also a point of consideration.
"Beautiful views and gardens with a spiritual bent."
Pedro Saffi
"We went there early but on a Sunday, which might explain the negative experience...
In my opinion, if you're not interested in taking selfies surrounded by a lot of 20-something or middle aged lame people in high heels (in a garden) and in the middle of plastic "replicas" of Buddha, this place is not worth the 20 reais it costs neither the 45min drive from Petrópolis (of which ~20min of a bad dirt road).
The place is beautiful yes, but Rio's Jardim Botânico is way bigger, nicer, and free."
Rémy G
"Uplifting experience. Amazing place."

The Spiritual Vibe
Many find moments of deep calm and connection within the garden's secluded spots. The overall goal is to provide a sanctuary for visitors to unwind and find inner peace. Whether you're deeply spiritual or simply seeking a quiet escape, the garden aims to offer a unique contemplative experience.
Navigating the Terrain
Travelers recommend using a vehicle with adequate ground clearance to navigate this section comfortably. While not an extreme off-road experience, a standard sedan might struggle with some of the rougher patches. Planning your transport and being aware of the road conditions will ensure a smoother arrival and departure.
Photography and Crowds
Some visitors have noted that on Sundays, the garden can be filled with people focused on taking selfies, which might detract from the peaceful ambiance for those seeking quiet contemplation. If you prefer a more solitary experience, aiming for a weekday visit, particularly in the morning, is highly recommended.
