Reviews Summary
Water Park Privé offers a range of aquatic attractions, including a lazy river and wave pool, with potential discounts for guests of affiliated hotels. However, some visitors have expressed dissatisfaction with the park's cashless payment system, restrictive refund policy for card balances, and the cold water temperature in certain areas.
"After 2 days of swimming in my appartment pool, I felt like something active. I had already seen this water park close to my appartment and decided to check it out.
This water park was terrible and I'm gonna explain why.
When buying the ticket, the employee didn't inform me of the payment cards. Me, never having been to this park didn't know that and proceeded to walk in. I found a place to sit and left my personal belongings there. It was right next to the Lazy River which caught my eye. I asked an employee where I could get a buoy and they told me. When I got there, they told me I had to pay for the buoy. Ridiculous they don't let you use it for free, as you return it. I reached for my cash, but then they told me I needed a card to pay. A card from the water park itself where you can store money on it. So I had to walk back to the entrance and asked for a card. I immideately asked why she didn't inform me that in the first place. Her lousy excuse was that I didn't ask for it. Like, I've never been to this park so I didn't know about that. Very bad service. So I wanted to put 33 dollars on it, but their system is like this: if you have MORE than 3 dollars left on it, they will only give back 3 dollars which is such a scummy move. After all this drama I got myself the buoy and went into the Lazy River.
The water was ice cold and the water didn't push me forward, I ended up walking through it. Poorly done.
The wave pool was also ice cold.
They also use alt accounts to raise their stars. I saw a lot of comments literally only saying: top, show and cool. They don't even try to hide it, I've never seen so many repetitive reviews.
Terrible experience. I don't recommend this to anyone.
One huge disappointment."

Understanding the Privé Network
When you book accommodation within the Privé network, you're not just getting a room; you're often gaining access to a suite of leisure facilities. This can mean unlimited entry to multiple water parks, which is a significant perk for families or groups looking to maximize their fun and value. It's a strategy that encourages longer stays and repeat visits, as guests can explore different aquatic environments within the same resort ecosystem.
For travelers considering a trip to Caldas Novas, understanding the Privé network is key to planning. It influences accommodation choices, potential cost savings on park tickets, and the overall scope of activities available. Many social media posts highlight this connection, emphasizing the benefits of staying within the Privé umbrella for a seamless and enjoyable water park vacation.
Navigating Park Payments and Policies
Compounding this issue is the park's refund policy for any remaining balance on the park card. Reports indicate that if you have more than a small amount (e.g., $3) left on the card, you may not receive a full refund, which some visitors perceive as a 'scummy move.' This policy necessitates careful planning of your spending to avoid losing money. It's crucial for visitors to only load an amount they are confident they will spend to mitigate this potential downside.
Furthermore, the rental of essential items like buoys has been a point of contention. Unlike some parks where buoys are complimentary with return, Water Park Privé charges for them, and payment must be made using the park card. This, combined with the cold water in attractions like the lazy river and wave pool, has contributed to negative experiences for some guests, highlighting the importance of clear communication from park staff regarding all policies and charges.
Water Park Privé vs. Other Attractions
Beyond the Privé umbrella, Caldas Novas is renowned for its thermal waters, and other water parks and resorts exist. For instance, Acqua Park Cerrado in Planaltina, DF, is mentioned as having similar features, including hot pools and slides, though it's a separate destination. The key differentiator for Water Park Privé and its affiliated parks is often the integration with Privé hotels, offering a package deal for accommodation and entertainment.
When choosing where to go, consider what you prioritize: unlimited access to multiple parks via a hotel package (Privé network), specific types of slides, or the overall ambiance. Social media often showcases the highlights of each, helping potential visitors decide which park best suits their vacation goals.
