Instead, you find a home town hotel, run by locals, well kept rooms, amazing views from every direction, and a sweet lady, named Lyra, who will become so familiar that you begin to question if she is actually a part of your family.
From check in to check out, the experience was superb. We did splurge and get the room with a pool and it was worth every cent. Wonderful hotel and staff and the only complaint that we had was that it was entirely too empty for the amenities and view. Stay at Fort Burt Hotel."

What made my stay uncomfortable was the problem I encountered while staying at Fort Burt Hotel. I faced multiple issues that made my stay uncomfortable and inconvenient for my kids. The key card for the door was not working. I attempted to seek help; there was no receptionist available at the front desk, leaving me with no way to address these issues. It took me a while to find security. When I found security, he said the reception already left, and he did not have access to the key.
Meanwhile, I was waiting on him to make a phone call. I go to the door and slide in between my credit card, and it opens the door. It makes me feel so unsafe with my family being at the hotel, and anyone can just go in the door with just a simple card. There was no bolt on the door also the porch door left side lock was not working window over the toilet not working always left open and have spider web There was no safety lock from the inside the next day I show the staff my concern.
The next morning, I took my family to the beach. When I came back, there was no running water, making it impossible to shower or use the sink. When we ask the receptionist they said they government turn off the water my question if I want to visit in the future does every hotel in the bvi have water problem or which month does the government turn of the water we only got to shower for 2 days for my entire stay at the hotel and the water was only running with very very low pressure when we used the toilets, there was no water to flush it, which made the room smell bad.
Thank goodness for my family, we go to their house to access the bathroom.
In the room there is no telephone, preventing me from contacting the hotel receptionist. The service is very bad, if we need anything like a towel, the staff told me I have to give them the towel I have in the room first before they can give me a clean one, and there were only 2 towels in the room with 2 washcloths, and mind you, I have children.
No internet access plus the room was not clean and have roach.
The only good thing about this hotel was the view
I expect a hotel to provide basic amenities and customer service, and this experience fell far below acceptable standards."
