What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bansko is widely praised for its exceptional affordability, making it a top choice for budget ski holidays. Visitors enjoy the varied terrain and the unique experience of the long ski road descent. However, some reviews highlight concerns about inconsistent slope maintenance and variable ski school quality, suggesting that while the value is high, attention to detail in certain areas could be improved.
"Can pay in cash at the ski hire place to skip the queues otherwise you'll be waiting hours.
Nice skiing. Ski schools are a bit hit and miss depending on your instructor. I had an ok instructor for the first couple of days then a better instructor for the remaining days. Being a beginner, having had some lessons before I flew out, being able to do the red runs was great. Wasn't quite brave enough for a black run, but other beginners managed it in my group. Had a great experience. Enjoyed it."

"Great day out in August, breathtaking views, clean mountain air and good food. Burned a lot of calories climbing the hills around the ski centre and earned our treats (delicious Italian ice cream in Bansko) 😊"
Sunny A
"Great place for beginners and medium skilled skiers. A little bit crowdy but the lifts operate fast and waiting times are not too much. Maybe a better queue organization will help on the lower slopes."
