"It's truly a wonderful area! When visiting, you feel like you're somewhere in Bavaria or Switzerland.
Small, beautiful houses made out of stone, small shops, cafeterias, wineries, restaurants, it's something out of a fairytale.
When we visited during the weekend, all the streets were filled with stalls of small producers, selling jeweleries, natural products, home made desserts, cosmetics, candels, souvenirs, clothes, bags, anything you would think of.
During weekdays it wasn't open.
If you get to Veliko, this place should be a MUST on your list and it's right in the heart of the city.
I don't know if the city is as busy in the autumn-winter season as it is in spring/summer, but when we visited, the whole city was very crowded and we were really lucky to find a single parking spot because a taxi was just leaving. The good part is that during weekend the parking is free, so we were able to visit the whole city for hours without worrying cause I, personally, could not manage paying at the parking meters i found there. The ones i came across were old and they only had instructions in bulgarian."

"Signature place in Veliko Turnovo to walk, chitchat with locals, to see what was the life look like at the middle of the 18th and 19th century in Bulgaria."
