What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pico d'Antónia offers a challenging but immensely rewarding hike, with many praising the stunning summit views. However, the trail, especially the final ascent, is steep, slippery, and can be difficult to navigate, requiring good physical condition and proper gear.
"Brilliant hike. I did it alone without a guide in about 3.30 hours with a couple of short stops. It is perfectly doable as the only path is quite visible and well marked in gps maps.me.
I was a bit intimidated by the previous reviews about the last section. Yes, it looks gnarly when approaching it but actually it is not too bad. Steep and slippery, but a ridge is quite broad so it would be hard to have a serious drop due to a slip. I say go for it! (unless you don't have some previous mountaineering experience and good hiking shoes).
Perfect conditions as well - low 20s with lots of wind and some clouds. Probably would not do it in a humid season..."
Vytenis Slenys
"Very steep climb, especially last part from white cross to the real summit is very dangerous."
Laurens Kleijbeuker
"Beautiful views, very dificult trail. Specially the "final" bit where the path is loose sand. It is very slippery.
The path is also not very clear...
The total time was almost 4 hours going up and about 2h30 going down (with a lot of photo pauses I admit)."
