Thereβs some good breakfast food to be had around the edges and at the undercover area west end of the market. My favourite was lort cha.
If you come to Battambang it is well worth spending an hour or so wandering the market.

Go early morning when it's all happening and venture through rows of fresh veggies and fruit, all sorts of cuts of meat, fish and seafood to feast the eyes. Just try and stay out of the way of everyone carrying heavy boxes of produce as you navigate your way through."
