Reviews Summary
The Abbotsford International Airshow is praised for its spectacular aerial displays and impressive aircraft, offering a thrilling experience for aviation enthusiasts. However, visitors frequently point out organizational shortcomings, including poor signage, long queues for food, and a lack of adequate shade and cooling stations, particularly for families and those with mobility issues. Despite these drawbacks, many find the show itself to be a 5-star event, with improvements noted in parking and food truck availability in recent years.
"I hadn't been since I was a kid so I couldn't remember much. Great air show, cool airplanes and decent choice of food. A big negative was lack of signage, lack or communication from event worker to event worker, poor directions to the entrance from the parking lot and just massive crowds made this less desirable. My mom, who is disabled, had to walk an insanely amount of distance from the lot to the entrance where there was zero signage. She won't be going next year that's for sure. Some event workers were pretty nice. See you all in about 5 years or so."

"I had a blast at the air show, tickets are pricey $25 for a kid and $50 for an adult 18+ the jump is a little insane, not including parking and the line up to get in before hand is crazy.
Wish there was more shaded areas available for people with a standard ticket or at least let people know before hand to bring a source of shade, was in direct sun for over 6h, got burned.
Lots of planes on the static display cool to check out inside the planes.
Lots of activity’s todo for kids including a kid zone with bouncy castles, tents that do spin the wheel and get a prize.
Various food truck options, some healthy options would be nice for those who can’t have gluten or dairy products, you weren’t able to bring in hard cover coolers.
There was lots of water refill stations how ever I feel sometimes they need to be more noticeable."

"Abbotsford International Airshow Aug (8 to 10) 2025 : Amazing Airshow. Static show is also good but unlike 2024 static show, B17 with underbelly ball turret and the vaunted A10 Warthug was not part of the static exhibit which makes it less exciting."

Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
Be mindful of the noise levels during jet performances; ear protection for children is highly recommended. While the event aims to be family-friendly, some reviews mention challenges with food pricing and limited healthy options, so packing some approved snacks might be a good idea. ✈️ Aviation Enthusiasts
Consider looking into VIP or premium seating options if your budget allows, as these often provide better views and amenities. Photography enthusiasts will find ample opportunities, so bring your best lenses, especially a telephoto for capturing the action in the sky. Researching the specific aircraft and performers scheduled for the year can help you plan your visit to catch your favorites.
💰 Budget Travelers
Utilizing public transport as much as possible, though challenging, might save on parking fees. However, factor in the potential for long walks. The core experience of watching the aerial displays is free once you're inside, so focus on maximizing that value.
