What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Véloroute des Bleuets is widely praised for its beautiful scenery, well-maintained asphalt paths, and clear signage, making it an enjoyable cycling experience. While some found parts of the route to be on busy roads, the dedicated bike lanes and the charm of the surrounding towns and Lac Saint-Jean are consistently highlighted as major positives.
"A really nice bike trail. Well maintained on smooth asphalt all over (except the compact gravel if you do the add-on park region). Honestly you dont need to use the app/map to stay on the path, there is signs everywhere. Really impossible to get lost. The path is of normal difficulty, mostly flat with some small hills. Beautiful scenery all over. I recommend doing it over 2/3 days if intermediate/advance biker, or 4-5 days for beginners or with young kids/bike carrier.
The luggage shuttle always arrived before we landed at our hotel. Smooth sailing 👍💪👍💪"

"Cycling marvel. There are no words to describe how beautiful this cycling route is (vélo-route des bleuets). My recommendation is to use a booklet you can find at the information kiosque instead of an interactive map on your phone.
Do not miss La Grange Gourmande for a quick lunch - they never disappoint!"

"Very nice cycling trail around the lake. There is no clear (clockwise or counterclockwise) better direction to do this. We did counter and it worked for the best, tailwind both ways! Thanks to the staff the trail is quite nicely marked all along. There are bike stations in case of problems or general questions. Loved it and may be back when blueberries are out ;) there are parts where you’ll share the road with cars but overall the dedicated bike lanes outweighs the other."
