"Nicely laid out space - Seeing the school is part of the admission when you visit the Bedeque Museum, and it's right across the road.
It's set up like a one room school house, and has interesting displays on the walls. Its worth visiting if you like immersing yourself in all things Lucy Maud and like a look into how she spent her time here."

"Visited the Lower Bedeque School with a few friends. We parked at the Callbeck Centre museum which is directly across the street. Google maps street view doesn't show the school because it was moved here in 2021 and the image is older. The school is part of the museum so in order to go inside, you must purchase museum tickets. Museum tickets were $10 CAD ea. We visited after the regular season, but were able to schedule a visit with Doug through email in advance. He asked that we bring cash, but another option was e-transfer. We paid at the museum and then he walked over to the school with us and opened it up. We heard the story of Montgomery's secret romance and learned more about her life while teaching at the school. Worth the visit! The museum also has an interesting clock collection."

"Such a lovely and unique place, so strongly attached to the writer Lucy Maud Montgomery, author of well known in the world Anne of Green Gables. LMM worked as a teacher in this school and found the love of her life in Herman Leard from Lower Bedeque too. If only walls could speak.. It's the only existing and well preserved among of all the schools somehow linked with Maud! Visiting here truly felt like a time travelling, besides all the area is such green, beautiful and peaceful place, definitely worth coming. Hope to visit again, same the school as historical The Leard House."
