What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Le Pays de la Sagouine for its vibrant Acadian cultural immersion, entertaining performances, and the magical Akadi Lumina night walk. However, some note that a strong understanding of French enhances the experience, and the cost can be a consideration for families.
"Well worth the visit just to look at everything and experience the vibe!
However I think it's worth brushing up on your French in order to better understand it - there is lots that you miss if you don't understand what the actors are saying.
At the same time I would hope there could be some optionality with the languages (e.g. they could grab a quick consensus in the room to see if anyone would like to hear a song or performance in English) - I feel this would help spread the word further about Acadian culture.
Who knows - may visit again in the future if ever I learn French!"

"Loved connecting to our cultural roots. I especially enjoyed Mitilda's kitchen and the explanation about Acadian French and the deportation. The shows are very entertaining and music is great! We stayed for supper on the Terrace and had live music, a rainbow, eagles flying over and sun peaking through the clouds. It was a magical experience!"

"I had heard about it, felt the need to go and was disappointed. Its a tiny man made island with sketches from the acadians. There is live music, and lots of actors walking around. I wouldnt go back."
