Shallow Great Lakes guided dives?

I recently obtained my open water diving certification. My buddy and I are looking for a good beginner dive, preferably in or near the Great Lakes. Any recommendations of trips or charters that may regularly do shallow dives? I would feel better if there was a guide or at least…

Reviews Summary

Centeen Park is lauded as a fantastic and accessible dive site, particularly praised for its unique underwater sculptures and diver-friendly amenities like easy entry and nearby facilities. While visibility can be a concern, the overall experience is highly recommended for its novelty and value, especially for skill refreshers and beginners.

"This is a good dive site! The underwater sculptures make it such an interesting and unique place to explore , I wish we had more like this in Toronto, the GTA, or anywhere in Canada.

Access is very easy and safe, with steps and railings for both entry and exit. The park is beautiful and had plenty of parking when I visited. There’s also a dive shop only about 200 meters away, so you can quickly pick up tanks or any gear you need.

Washroom facilities are available, which is a big plus for divers. The depth is around 33 feet, and there are over 20 sculptures and objects to discover underwater.
Visibility could be poor .
Also water is not very cold .
Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for an easy, enjoyable, and memorable dive!"

"I have had many dive experiences at Centeen. One of my favourite venues along the St Lawrence. Decent parking. SOS has done a fantastic job with the venue."

"Centeen Park is a great location to refresh your SCUBA skills after an extended surface interval. The site has over 20 statues and other attractions to practice navigation or simply make the dive more interesting. Visibility is usually 10 to 15 feet in my experience. There is very little current so sediment does hang around a bit when the bottom gets disturbed. There are benches at the shore to organize gear and help get dressed. Concrete steps make entry and exit from the water easy, just watch the bottom steps because they get slippery. There is free parking on the street and at the west side of the park. During the summer months there are two public toilets in the center of the park (the doors are locked in the off season)."
