Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise The Military Museums for its vast collection and engaging exhibits, with many highlighting the invaluable insights gained from speaking with knowledgeable veterans. While some wish for more staff interaction within exhibits, the overall experience is deemed highly educational and enjoyable for all ages, making it a worthwhile destination for a full day of exploration.
"There is SO much to see here! We spent about 5 hours exploring and still felt like we could have easily stayed longer. We happened to visit on a day with a special outdoor event, which was such a nice surprise and added to the experience.
The exhibits are fascinating and full of history and artifacts. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have staff inside the museum to share information, context, and first-hand knowledge about the displays. At other similar museums we’ve visited, having that interaction has really enriched the visit. That being said, the security guard outside was incredibly knowledgeable, and it was so interesting speaking with him about his experiences and insights. He knew things that even the people running the outdoor event didn’t know.
The pricing for a family is very fair, and overall this is an amazing place for anyone interested in history. Highly recommend setting aside a good chunk of your day, there’s truly so much to take in."

Very glad I was able to visit here and will be back as 2 hours was not enough time.
They have real life fighter jets.

"My boyfriend is into engineering feats such as planes and jets, and he was very excited and delighted to visit here (we are from out of town). I am not much of a military or history buff but the amount of visual artifacts and pieces of Canadian military history displayed and laid out in exhibits here was fascinating for even me to read about and consider. There were some full size planes in the hangar and veterans who had flown them were volunteering their time on the Saturday that we were here. That was very impressive for me.
Definitely worth visiting even if you have only a marginal interest in such things. You could spend hours here as there is a great density of information and it is displayed in really accessible ways"
