Reviews Summary

District 1881 is widely praised for its charming European village atmosphere, unique shops, and vibrant murals, especially during the holidays when it becomes a winter wonderland. While some find it small, its compact nature contributes to its magical feel. Visitors appreciate the free parking and the revitalized urban space.

"District 1881 is a great new spot to explore for shops and eateries. I loved that there were unique stores I hadn’t seen in Vancouver. The only downside is that it’s quite small — it takes only about 10 minutes to walk through the whole area. It’s over an hour’s drive from Vancouver, but we made a day of it with coffee, beer, and dinner, and got to enjoy the beautiful night lights as well."

"Great photo ops, but closes too early on weekends (4-6pm) so plan ahead your visit. Beautiful art. There's free parking nearby which is great. Not a lot of food or coffee options but is ok as the "district 1881" are just a couple of blocks."

"This is a really nice brand new area of Chilliwack. If you're from Vancouver, I recommend people to stop by if you are driving to or from Kelowna as a pitstop. The place is filled with nice shops and the area is clean. We had dinner here and there is a cool hobbies shop that sells One Piece and Pokemon cards. The owner, Jordan, is a really nice guy and that offers incredible deals if you are buying multiple cards."
