Reviews Summary

The Cory Pass hike is consistently praised as one of Banff's most rewarding, despite its extreme difficulty. Reviewers highlight the unparalleled summit views as making the strenuous climb absolutely worthwhile. While challenging, it's often described as the 'best' hike by those who complete it, with wildlife sightings adding to the experience. Reddit

"This is a very strenuous loop but with views well worth the climb. Climbing poles are suggested as there is lots of loose gravel around the pass. Total loop is about 9 miles but took us about 6 hours including a lunch break at the top. We saw many squirrels, birds and also mountain goats. Wind can be gusty near the pass. The bridge at the start of the hike was out so you have to cross a stream."

"Hardest hike we did in Banff, but honestly the best. 3,500ish foot elevation gain, so it feels like you’re going straight up! But The views when you get to the top make it all worth it. Don’t miss this hike!"
