"Really fun place to visit. Easy hike if you stay to path. For the more adventurous, you can carefully walk on large rocks. Don’t get too close to edge. Above the falls are lovely pools of water."

"Did the Kayak in from Algonquin Outfitters up the river to the base of the falls. An amazing river paddle with turtles, frogs, birds, butterflies, and fellow paddlers.
Once at the falls you can climb to the path that takes you to the top of the falls or you can start rock hopping up the falls itself.

Once at the top you can view the power of the water as it cuts through the rocks, take a dip in the moving water (with caution and supervision) or bathe on the rocks in the sun.

A beautiful hike, or paddle to a little gem in nature."

Daniel Kirby

"This is a hike you don't want to miss. The Reagan Falls are quite spectacular. Hikers and photographers alike we'll enjoy this Trail. Be prepared for some change an elevations. The Younger You Are the easier they will be. But even as a senior you shouldn't have too much trouble navigating the trail. You won't want to miss the view. Enjoy! 😊"

The Geology and Beauty of Ragged Falls

Ragged Falls is a testament to the erosive power of water over time. The falls, dropping about 25 feet, have carved a dramatic path through the ancient Precambrian rock. This geological process has created the unique landscape of jagged rocks and smooth, water-worn surfaces that characterize the area. The sheer force of the water, especially after rainfall, highlights the ongoing geological sculpting. Instagram

The surrounding landscape is equally captivating. During the fall, the area transforms into a spectacle of color, with vibrant hues of red, orange, and yellow painting the trees that frame the falls. This makes Ragged Falls a prime destination for photographers and nature enthusiasts seeking scenic beauty. The contrast between the powerful water, the rugged rocks, and the colorful foliage creates a truly memorable vista. Instagram+1

Beyond the main falls, the river forms serene pools above the cascade. These areas offer a more tranquil experience, where visitors can relax, sunbathe on the rocks, or even take a cautious dip.
