"Such a great little walk around a beautiful slice of history; it's a loop, so you can start from one side and work your way around to take in the whole fort. The view from the wall over the water is spectacular and we were told by a gentleman who frequents the fort that the sunsets are phenomenal 🌅
The fort isn't open to the public after 8 PM, parking is permitted within the walls so long as you vacate by the time the gate closes at 8 PM and additional parking is available in the gravel leading up to the fort if it happens to be a busy day."

"Just discovered that this place is a National Historic Site and a fort.
Was so glad we could walk around in December and there was enough interpretive signs to still learn all about this very important fort.
Came here to see the lighthouse across the harbour and the view was phenomenal.
Must go to if in Halifax, such important history that gets passed over for Citadel and George's Island etc."
