Reasonably priced transportation to/from Wolfville

We would like to go to Wolfville (from Halifax) for a wine tasting but I'd rather not book a tour - I find them a bit pricey and I'd like to be able to sit and enjoy the winery versus being rushed through. I have reached out to a private car company but that will be close to…

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Domaine de Grand Pré for its beautiful setting, quality Nova Scotian wines, and knowledgeable staff. The L'Acadie Blanc and ice wines are frequently highlighted. However, some guests have reported negative experiences with slow service and feeling overlooked, particularly during busy periods, suggesting a need for improved customer flow management.

"A lovely spot to take in some views, have a chat and a taste of wine selection.
Lucas served the wines gracefully sharing tidbits of knowledge on wine and winemaking - why the whites dominate, how ice wine is made, and how they lost a crop a few years ago. There were a few options to try out in combinations of three(just do one set if you are driving!).
I happen to prefer red, but I did enjoy their white selection and took a creamy apple liqueur home!"

"This beautiful winery is located in the stunning Annapolis Valley region. What a treat to enjoy their wine tasting and walk around the grounds in historic UNESCO Grand Prix Heritage site. The tastings were $12 with generous pours of the wines produced from grapes unique to the area. We really enjoyed and recommend their L’Acadie for white wine drinkers and their Field Blend for red wine drinkers."

Crystal Weal

"Great Winery producing top quality Nova Scotian wines.

Particularly their Tidal Bay, NS Brut and Ice wines are very good. The charcuterie board offered with wine tasting is also a gourmet delight.

Overall a great winery to visit, especially for those who enjoy wines on the sweeter end such as Moscato and rislings."
