Guelph Central Station is truly disappointing. There’s no proper parking at all — even for quick drop-offs or pick-ups! The small parking area can barely fit 10 cars and is almost always full. It constantly gets jammed with vehicles, making it stressful and inconvenient.
The city really needs to build a proper park-and-ride lot with plenty of parking spaces for commuters. It’s surprising that in a growing city like Guelph, there’s still no adequate infrastructure to support people who want to use public transit. It honestly feels like the city doesn’t care about public comfort or convenience at all.
There are no public washrooms, which is unbelievable. During cold winters or rainy days when people have to wait outside, the waiting area is small and not designed for bad weather.
This kind of poor city planning discourages people from using public transportation — exactly the opposite of what should be happening. If cities like Guelph offered better facilities and incentives for commuters, more people would choose to live outside of overcrowded downtown Toronto and travel by train or bus.

It wasn’t like this 2022, it was running like a normal train station does. This is a city, not even a small town. How ridiculous. We need better than this. It’s no wonder people want to drive."
