It's a highly recommended stop for a refreshing break during road trips, with many appreciating the dog-friendly environment and winter views of Mount Robson. "We have been to Jackman Flats a few times. We love it! We bring our dog who loves running around (leashed) on the sand dunes and exploring all the smells. The park has great directional and educational signage. On our last visit the park was teeming with mushrooms. It's a neat little spot to get out and stretch your legs at."

"Beautiful park. Well worth the break from driving. There are several loop distances to choose from. The trails highlight a sensitive very dry forest lichen community and unique sand dunes. There are abundant deer, as well as some moose, and bear sign throughout the park. Birding opportunities are good but not as plentiful as Cranberry marsh on the south side of Valemount. As always pack out what you bring in, clean up after your dogs, and please keep them leashed while walking in the park."

"Fairly flat lol, pop of color here and there, easy hiking, good picnic spot"
