Reviews Summary

Visitors appreciate Little Davis Falls for its free access and serene natural setting, particularly the charming cascade and surrounding woodland. However, many note the unmaintained trails, potential for litter, and variable water flow, suggesting it's best visited after rain and with appropriate footwear.

"Little Davis is tucked away in a very quiet neighborhood, there's no parking nor bathrooms or a marked trail however once you access the entrance you can walk up to the small 2 tier Cascade and enjoy the surrounding forest and hear the stream, there's a lot of trees in front and around it and to get the best views one must wet their feet... I last visited January 25/2025 and it was very beautiful frozen"

Angelo Garcia

"Great for a day trip. The 15 min trail is not maintained well, manageable, though. The falls and the surroundings are beautiful. It could be better without litter. We found parts of a laptop, other debris even a shopping cart!
It's free though."

Mandira Das

"You can walk on the creekbed from Quigley or Greenhill or take the path from either location too. If you take the path, just stay on the east side and you can find dirt paths to follow after the grass. Obviously, if you choose to walk the creekbed, it is much rockier and slippery but it's very rewarding to go all the way past Little Davis Falls to Felker's Falls. Unfortunately, lots of stagnant water means mosquitos."

Navigating the Terrain and Access

Little Davis Falls is characterized by its natural, unmanicured approach. Unlike more developed parks, you won't find paved walkways or extensive signage. Parking is typically on the roadside, so arriving early is key to securing a spot. From the road, it's a short walk, often less than 100 meters, to reach the falls. However, this path is not maintained and can be quite rocky and slippery, especially after rain. Many visitors opt to walk along the creek bed itself, which offers a more rugged but rewarding experience, leading to further cascades downstream. Reddit+1

Footwear is crucial for a safe and enjoyable visit. Sturdy, waterproof hiking boots are highly recommended to navigate the uneven terrain and potential wet conditions. While the falls themselves are a highlight, the surrounding forest adds to the charm, offering a peaceful woodland escape. Be aware that stagnant water in the creek bed can attract mosquitoes during warmer months. TikTokReddit

Despite its natural beauty, Little Davis Falls sometimes suffers from litter left by visitors. It's important for everyone to practice responsible tourism by packing out everything they bring in, helping to preserve the area for others. Reddit

The Best Time to Experience the Falls

The visual impact of Little Davis Falls is significantly influenced by the local weather patterns. The water flow is not constant and is directly tied to recent precipitation. For the most dramatic and impressive cascade, it's advisable to plan your visit a day or two after a significant rainfall. This ensures the creek is flowing robustly, creating a more dynamic and captivating scene. Reddit

Beyond water flow, the changing seasons offer distinct experiences. While beautiful year-round, the fall season is particularly spectacular. The surrounding deciduous trees transform into a vibrant tapestry of reds, oranges, and yellows, providing a stunning backdrop to the falls. This makes it a prime spot for photographers and nature enthusiasts seeking autumnal beauty. TikTokReddit

For a more tranquil visit, consider weekday mornings. This is when you're most likely to avoid crowds and have a more serene experience. While the falls are free to access, their popularity can increase on weekends and during peak seasons, so timing your visit can greatly enhance your enjoyment.
