Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Port Sydney Beach for its beauty, simplicity, and heart-warming atmosphere, highlighting Mary Lake's serene waters and the nostalgic charm of the area. It's seen as an ideal spot for relaxation and enjoying nature, though it can become very busy on public holidays.

"Beauty and simplicity - heart-warming and inviting. The reason why they call this place the Heart of Muskoka-Port Sydney's Mary Lake glowing in the reflection of and basking in the Sun's Glory!"

Rochelle Salvador

"My Mom, sister, nieces and I (and our dogs) visited Mary Lake (or Mary's Lake) this past weekend to commemorate 20 years since my Dad passed away. We wrote messages and drew pictures on some flat stones and then skipped them across the water like Dad used to like to do (we weren't nearly as good at it as Dad was though, so some stones were simply tossed into the water). The beach is exactly as I remember it being 40+ years ago. We stayed on the grassy part to the far left as we weren't sure if dogs were allowed or not. Nice and shallow but I think the buoys should be moved out further."

Elizabeth L

"Lovely beach. Peaceful place and nice small beach.
People are very friendly. Please do respect the privacy of local people and their property and don’t ruin it."
