What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Valleyview Nature Park for its unique, desert-like landscape and extensive trail system, perfect for hiking, running, and biking. The panoramic views of Kamloops are a major draw. However, the lack of shade and unfenced cliffs on upper benches are noted safety concerns, especially for families with young children.
"Trailhead located across the road from the Valleyview Arena this nature park is rife with trails through the sagebrush. Well marked trails and miles and miles of area to explore.
Small children are not safe up on the upper bench cliffs. It is not roped off.
But down below it is great for those without physical impairment.
Bring lots of water and there is no shade so wear sunscreen."

"Fantastic trail running area. A lot of different places with different skill levels and varieties for those looking for a leisurely walk with friends or your dog. As well as more technical routes aimed at getting your heart rate up, Be it a strong hike, run or getting the cross-country bike. All great ways to see some nice views of Kamloops."

"One of the best parks for running, exploring and hiking in.
I love it, but keep getting attacked by some animal that follows me in the thick bushes (by the creek)
Easy to difficult terrain, mainly easy but you can venture onto steep fun connection trails for more excitement."
