Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the breathtaking views from La Roche Lookout, often calling them 'wilder' and more preferred than higher viewpoints. The rewarding scenery makes the hike worthwhile, though some trails present a significant challenge with steep slopes. While the park offers amenities, washroom cleanliness can be inconsistent, and bug spray is a must.

"The views did not disappoint! While at a lower elevation than Mont-Tremblant, the view is “wilder” so I actually preferred it.

I used AllTrails to navigate and used the path highlighted to make a loop. The red part was super difficult (steep slopes, trees fallen across the path) so I’d recommend taking the blue trail out-and-back if you have concerns. Red part is fun if you’re looking for an adventure and don’t want to take a gravel road uphill 😅

The washrooms (actually a single washroom) at the kayak rental and beach area was a bit gross, but if you go to the visitor centre you’ll find much better washrooms and places to sit.

I went on a Monday and it was still a bit busy so I’d expect more crowds on a weekend."

Supul Amarakoon

"For how short the hike is it is a truly amazing look out point.
This is a great first trail for people who dont do them often, there are benches along the trail to sit down."

Barnac

"can be reached via both la roche or corniche trails, paid entry per person to the national park, so many bugs and mosquitoes, river water at the beginning and the end of the hike, toilets at the parking, internet and phone service are only available at the lookout but not in the parking or on the trail."
