What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Langley Events Centre for its modern facilities, friendly atmosphere, and good value, especially for sports events like basketball and hockey. The ample free parking and diverse, reasonably priced food options are frequently highlighted as major advantages. While the drive from Vancouver can be a consideration, the overall experience is consistently rated positively, making it a worthwhile destination for entertainment.
"We drove out here to watch a Vancouver Bandits basketball game vs the Brampton Honey Badgers. We had never been to a Bandits basketball game and wanted to see what it was like. Both our sons are really into basketball and got us interested in it as well.
It was a bit of a drive from North Vancouver, taking about 1 hour on the highway on a Sunday. There is free parking right at the facility.
The stadium seats just over 5000 so it is about a quarter the size of Roger’s Arena. There are several food options like Triple Os, Papa John’s pizza, hot dogs, popcorn and pretzels among other food items. They had some red or white wines along with craft beers or ciders, water and pop to drink. We had Triple O burgers and fries for dinner during the game which really hit the spot!
The game was exciting with the Bandits coming back to win 87-84. They have contests so if an opposing player misses both their free throws you get a coupon for an A & W breakfast sandwich. You can also win a discount coupon for Popeye’s chicken if they shot more than 10 3s in a game which they had done before. Those did happen at both of the games we went to so you have a good shot of getting them.
It is a good sized venue and the food lines weren’t too bad. The food was less expensive than Roger’s or BC Place which was fair. You could easily watch the game while still getting food. Worth a trip and the Bandits are a great team to watch!"

"Went to a Vancouver Bandits basketball game and the entertainment was 5 stars complete with a cheerleading dance squad, games, singing, and giveaways in addition to the amazing basketball game. The food options here are vast from Papa John’s to Triple O’s to craft beer. They even sell dole whip here! The facility appears new and clean. Would totally come again."

"Very nice arena with good amenities and lots of free parking!
We came here on a Friday night for the Vancouver Giants hockey game. There are various food options when you're on site. Viewing angles are good throughout the facility.
It is a bit of a drive from Vancouver, so plan accordingly for traffic and detours."
