Reviews Summary

City Park Al Anderson Pool is widely praised as a clean, well-maintained, and welcoming community facility with a heated outdoor pool, slide, and diving board. Visitors appreciate the family-friendly amenities like the nearby playground and spray park, as well as the variety of programs offered, including adult lessons. Some minor drawbacks include potential strictness on rules and occasional issues with the waitlist system.

"I recently visited Al Anderson Memorial Pool in Langley, and I have to say it’s one of the nicest community pools I’ve been to. Located in City Park, it has a really inviting atmosphere, especially in the summer months. The pool is outdoors, heated, and large enough to accommodate both serious swimmers and families who just want to have fun. There are eight lanes for lap swimming, a slide, and even a diving board, so there’s something for everyone.
What impressed me most was how well-maintained and clean the facility felt. The water was clear, the pool deck was tidy, and the surrounding area offered lots of space to relax. There are shaded picnic tables and a nearby playground and spray park, which made it a perfect spot to spend an afternoon with family. The lifeguards and staff were attentive, friendly, and seemed genuinely invested in keeping the environment safe and enjoyable.
I also like that the pool offers a variety of programs—public swims, lap sessions, aqua fitness, and swimming lessons for both kids and adults. During my visit, I noticed how well-organized everything was, and the lessons seemed to run smoothly. They even host fun community events like water fights and summer parties, which really adds to the sense of it being more than just a pool, but a hub for local families.
The only small downside is that during peak times, especially on hot days, it can get quite busy. At times, the staff also felt a little strict about diving board rules, but I understand it’s for safety.
Overall, Al Anderson Memorial Pool is a fantastic place to cool off, exercise, or just enjoy the day. It’s clean, welcoming, and truly feels like a community gathering spot. I’ll definitely be coming back."

"I took adult level 2 lessons here. Sydney has great energy and made sure to cover all the skills I wanted to. The other coaches and lifeguards were great as well. These are more of a mixed levels course but you get more one on one time to your skill level, vs everyone doing the same thing, which I think is a plus!

Only thing is this pool could improve their waitlisting. I got a call a spot opened and they were holding it for several days. I called for days in a row and couldn't get ahold of anyone. When I got a call back they said the spot wasn't there anymore? Other locations have a system where you can accept or deny waitlist spot via email which is a better system.

I'll definitely come back to this pool even though I live further away. It's a great outdoor pool with extended hours and they offer adult lessons which is great for people like me. Thanks!"
