What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Wascana Trails for its beautiful prairie scenery and diverse trail options, making it a favorite for families and outdoor enthusiasts. While some note missing trail signs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many eager to return for more hiking and biking adventures.
"Had a really nice walk here with the family. The scenery is beautiful and it's a great place to get out and explore nature. The only heads-up I would give is that some of the trail signs are missing, so it can be easy to get turned around or lost if you're not familiar with the area. Despite that, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!"

"Being only around 15mins from Regina and with a beautiful landscape, this has easily become a favourite for my family!
Filled with breath-taking prairie landscapes, I would come here in a heartbeat. Whether you’re looking to bike, hike, walk, or maybe even practice your orienteering, this is a great place to do so!
From easy trails to difficult ones, this park has much to offer. The hilly landscapes make it an enjoyable and interesting hiking experience.
The interconnecting paths also make it easy to switch to a different route.
And if very hilly and tall landscapes aren’t your thing, there is a short wheelchair accessible trail (grade 10% maximum slope), with a large amount of viewpoints! It’s fun for everyone!
I’d say the only downside to this park would be the condition of the maps around the trails. About half of the maps I saw were either missing or damaged.
However, it didn’t harm our experience much.
Great place for hiking, would come again!"

"I spent my Saskatchewan day exploring Wascana Trails, and honestly, it was such a good decision! From the moment I got there, I could tell it was going to be a great day, there was ample parking.
The trails themselves are amazing and cater to every level. There are nice, easy stretches if you just want a peaceful walk, and then there are those more challenging, uphill sections that make you feel like you’re starring in your own outdoor adventure documentary. I love that mix, it keeps things interesting.
I saw a bunch of people out biking, and it’s clearly just as much of a biking haven as it is for hiking. The views along the way are beautiful, prairie landscapes, winding paths, and little moments where you just have to stop, breathe, and take it all in. Of course, I had my phone out snapping pictures every few minutes, because how else do you prove you conquered those trails.
Whether you’re looking for a casual stroll, a solid workout, or a biking challenge, Wascana Trails really has it all. Plus, it’s close enough to the city to be convenient but far enough to feel like you’ve escaped somewhere peaceful. 10/10 would go again… and probably will!"
