Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the spectacular, expansive views from Cascade Lookout, calling it a must-do for anyone driving through Manning Park. The easy drive-up access is a major plus, though many advise arriving early to avoid crowds and enjoy the tranquility. Some mention a slight fear of heights on the winding road, but the reward is well worth it. Reddit+1

"I've driven through Manning Park but never explored it before. That was a huge mistake. I recently read about this lookout and decided to make a special trip to see it. The road is well marked. It is windy and there are a few sections with steep drop offs and no barriers. For some reason my minor fear of heights was off the charts going up. I arrived at the lookout around 10:30 on a Sunday. There were 3 other cars in the lot. Even though there was some smoke from fires in the vicinity the view was spectacular! The parking area filled up quickly. I walked down the road a little bit and was greeted by a grouse up the embankment. It was posing for me.
After visiting Alpine Meadows I returned to the lookout around 1pm. The lot was crammed full of cars and people were everywhere. The lesson is to get there early and enjoy the tranquility."

"Beautiful lookout, must do. Has the view of entire Manning Park, a lot of mountains in the US. It’s a 15 min drive (8kms) uphill from the Manning Park Resort. The gates close at 11 pm, so be wary of that.
This is a great spot to drive up at night on a clear day to see stars. It would be super beautiful. Must visit both night and day.

Lots of birds and squirrels to look for. They are in their natural habitat and actually don’t feel threatened by our presence. You could get super close to a bird and it would still sit where it was, not bothered by your presence. It was great to see that."

"Hope-Princeton Highway 3 has always been a favorite road for motorcyclists wanting something more than the repeated Sea-to-Sky, Vancouver to Whistler. A quick 15 minute detour off Highway 3, going up the winding Blackwall Road will take you to Cascade Lookout where you will find spectacular views and have a chance to stretch your legs. The road is fully paved and suitable for all levels of riders, but be respectful of oncoming or slower moving traffic.
British Columbians are super friendly and will offer to help you take a picture of your family or group.
It’s well worth the stop!"
