"I cannot express enough gratitude for the care and compassion shown to our family by Holy Cross Cemetery during a very difficult time. My father passed away in June 2024, and we held a private funeral for close family only. His thoughtful assistance brought us peace of mind during such a difficult decision.
The cemetery itself is stunning—modern, with a building constructed around 2019, featuring beautiful imported Italian marble, bookmatched by time-honored craftsmen, that adorns the face of the crypts. The artwork throughout is tasteful and fitting for such a sacred space. The cemetery grounds are peaceful and quiet, with many water fountains, ponds, and breathtaking landscaping.
Holy Cross Cemetery was established in 1954 with a focus on timeless design for the buildings, monuments, and grounds. This consecrated ground feels eternal, and I am 100% confident it will remain a place of peace and remembrance for generations to come, as is clearly the intention of those who manage it. The location is easily accessible by 407 and Bayview or 407 and Yonge.

"A year ago, when my brother suddenly passed away, my sister and I were introduced to Michael Bancheri, counsellor, at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Thornhill. We were impressed by his calm and sympathetic personality. He promptly showed us a location for a gravesite close to the location we were looking for.
Since that time, my husband and I discussed the importance of getting a family grave at Holy Cross Cemetery. However, it wasn’t until this past September that we decided to buy one on a Pre-need Plan. I made an appointment with Michael and once again he set out to search for a family grave site to fit our expectations. He found one that was available across from my brother’s grave. So I texted my husband and forwarded all the details and we decided to sign the contract.
A week to the day of my meeting with Michael, my husband had passed away. At such a difficult time, Michael was there for me and my family and thoroughly guided us through the process for our immediate need. Everything went very smoothly due to Michael’s dedication and proficiency.
Lately, I have met with Michael to discuss the design on the Family Monument. My family and I are confident that it will turn out to our expectations and complete satisfaction as was the case with my brother’s monument a year ago.
