Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Police Point Park for its beautiful river views, abundant wildlife, and well-maintained trails suitable for walking and winter sports. The Nature Centre is a valuable resource, though its hours should be checked. Some visitors note that the Nature Centre can be closed during off-season visits.

"Great views and nice day for a hike. Saw lots of migratory birds here. Finches, Says Phoebe, Northern Flickers, Kestrels, Starlings. Not busy and no bugs. Lots of shells on the dry creek bed below."

Micah Robinson

"This was a great park to go walking in. It is large and has many different trails, not only for walking but also for cross country skiing or snowshoeing in the winter. The scenery and vegetation is quite nice, you see wildlife such as deer, rabbits and birds. If you are a tree lover, such as myself, you will thoroughly enjoy the different shaped trees, standing or on the ground. There are many benches throughout the park and along pathways for breaks or just to stop and take it all in, this park also has public washrooms which is always a plus with a long walk and lots of water drinking πŸ˜‰. I look forward to visiting again next time I am in Medicine Hat!"

Danielle Passmore

"Lovely little riverside country park.
This park is bordered on three sides by a meandering bend of the South Seskatchewan river. The bend will eventually become an oxbow lake! The park is semi wooded and has many paths throughout, both surfaced and dirt. There is evidence of beavers felling trees although it looks as if this activity has been "managed" by the authorities! There is a visitor centre with a car park although it was closed during my visit. The park is used by many for activities such as dog walking, cycling and jogging. The perimeter path runs along the bank of the river and provides opportunities to see local wildlife such as squirrels, deer and also fantastic views of the river."
