"Nice lake with crystal clear water on a playful beach and beautiful relaxing scenery. Great place for swimming, hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking and canoeing. The lifeguard is on-duty on weekends. Also, it has a wonderful park to stroll or have a picnic with family and friends. Picnic tables are nicely located overlooking the lake and park. There's a nice trail upwards to the dam museum. There’s a dog friendly place near the trail area.
This place is well-maintained, washrooms are clean with a seating area and a baby changing station. Drinking fountain and a shower area are available near the washroom. Parking are free but limited so be early."

"Hayward Lake is a serene and peaceful place perfect for relaxation and unwinding. It can get crowded but if you choose the hours to go then it can be perfectly quiet too. The washrooms are big and clean, the water is super cold but very refreshing. You can barbecue here using propane. There is ample parking and it is free. Picnic tables are available and the area is dog friendly."
