What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mississauga Celebration Square is a highly regarded community hub, praised for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse year-round activities, from summer splash pads and movies to winter ice skating and a constant stream of cultural festivals. Visitors appreciate the energetic vibe, family-friendly amenities, and the celebration of multiculturalism. However, some attendees have noted concerns regarding parking during peak times, occasional littering, and the presence of political messaging at certain events.
"Celebration Square in Mississauga is a vibrant and energetic public space that offers something for everyone year-round. Whether it’s summer or winter, the square always feels alive and welcoming.
I’ve visited multiple times and have always enjoyed the atmosphere. In summer, the splash pad and outdoor movie nights are a big hit with families. In winter, the area transforms into a beautiful skating rink with lights and music, which creates a festive vibe.
The square also hosts amazing cultural events and festivals like Canada Day celebrations, Diwali, MuslimFest, and more—truly reflecting the diverse community of Mississauga. The large open space, big screen, and performance stage make it ideal for public events and gatherings.
Food trucks, nearby cafes, and restaurants add to the experience, and there’s plenty of seating and shaded areas to relax. The space is clean, well-maintained, and accessible.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the parking situation—it can get quite crowded on weekends and during big events, and finding a spot nearby can take some time. But if you’re using public transit or parking a bit early, it’s manageable.
Overall, it’s a fantastic place for families, friends, and visitors. Highly recommended!"

"I recently visited Celebration Square for the Canada Day celebrations, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The entire area was buzzing with energy and excitement. There were numerous food trucks offering a wide variety of delicious options to satisfy every craving, from sweet treats to savoury street food.
The stage performances were lively and engaging, showcasing great local talent and keeping the crowd entertained throughout the evening. They also had fun photo booths and interactive promotional stalls, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The highlight of the night was definitely the fireworks at 10 PM – a truly spectacular display that lit up the sky and left everyone in awe. It was a wonderful way to cap off the evening!
Celebration Square is a great place to be in the summer. They seem to have events and programs running all season long, making it a perfect hangout spot for families, friends, or even solo visits. Highly recommended if you’re looking for free outdoor fun, live entertainment, and a vibrant community vibe! Some pics attached from the Egyptian fest too!!"

"I really enjoy Celebration Square, it’s a great community space with so many fun events, and I love spending time there. However, I think event organizers should reconsider including activities with strong political messaging, such as those focused on Gaza. Most of us come to Celebration Square to relax and enjoy ourselves, not to deal with political protests or speeches.
Another concern is safety. At an event just two days ago, security told us that about 10 phones were reported stolen. On top of that, it’s disappointing to see some people throwing trash around and making the space unpleasant. It’s a wonderful place, but issues like theft, littering, and unnecessary political displays are really affecting the experience for many visitors."
