The staff in vintage attire and hands-on activities are frequently highlighted as enjoyable features, especially for families. "Château Ramezy is a historical site and museum. It is right across the street from city hall, which is an amazing building! From the outside, it looks rather small, but it has a lower floor, and it is actually quite vast. Filled with all types of exhibitions detailing the history of Montréal there is an immense amount of paintings, informational placards, and fascinating artifacts to wade through. Along with all of that are audio booths that offer 5 or 6 languages of various subjects that really bring the historical stories to life. For your convenience, they also offer a coat room so that you can leisurely walk through the warm, cozy rooms unabated. I thought the exhibits were well done and I would highly recommend visiting this museum."

INsightful EXplorer

"We stopped into this unassuming museum and were rather impressed by the amount of information and artifacts on display. Covering the 500 years of history of Montréal, Château Ramezay offered learning opportunities for adults and hands on activities for children to understand what early life in the city would have been like. It even had a little garden outback with the various types of crops they would have grown! The museum had information in multiple languages, not just French and English. Highly recommend popping by if you're at all interested in history."
