Easiest way up Mont Royal?
I'm going with an elderly gentleman. He's in good shape but I don't want to push him. What is the easy way up the mountain? Is it from the Peel Street steps or from the parking lot on the west side of of Remembrance Road? Merci!
Anyone from Montreal? Is Mount Royal really a hike or just an uphill walk?
Going to Montreal for the first time and planning my days out. We'll have a rental car but I'm a city girl who walks everywhere and it will be annoying to have to hop back to the hotel to grab the car to drive up the mountain when maybe I can just walk it. I'm just over 3…

The open landscapes and natural beauty make it a perfect spot to relax between sightseeing. "Snow tubing at Mount Royal near Beaver Lake is an exhilarating adventure that guarantees a day packed with fun and thrills! As you race down the snowy slopes, the adrenaline rush and contagious laughter make it an experience to remember. With well-maintained runs, the activity is perfect for all ages—adventurous enough for thrill-seekers but safe and enjoyable for kids and families too.
Beyond the slopes, the venue offers even more winter excitement with ice skating and skiing, and rentals are conveniently available. After working up an appetite, the on-site cafeteria is the perfect spot to refuel with delicious sandwiches, fresh bagels, and steaming hot coffee, adding a cozy touch to your adventurous day.

"Absolutely stunning! The park is beautiful and has such a peaceful, relaxing vibe. It’s the perfect spot to read a book, enjoy a picnic, or simply take a walk and soak in the natural surroundings. I highly recommend it!
Update: I visited today (December 21) and it was beyond gorgeous! The park was blanketed in snow, creating a true winter wonderland. There’s an ice skating rink with an incredible view of the frozen lake right in front of it. There’s also a cozy building with a restaurant on the second floor, perfect for grabbing a snack or hot drink during your skating break. On the first floor, you’ll find lockers for your things and a small shop where you can rent skates. Plus, there’s a great spot near the rink for tobogganing, and it’s totally free (bring your own toboggan though). I can’t recommend this place enough, no matter the season!"
