Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Moore Museum Mooretown for its beautifully preserved historical village and engaging exhibits, especially the children's treasure hunt. The model train display and detailed historical rooms are highlights for many. However, some guests have reported less-than-ideal interactions with staff, citing a lack of gratitude and perceived rudeness.
"Moores Village is a wonderful place to step back in time and experience history that has been so beautifully preserved. Each room tells its own story, and you can really see the effort that’s gone into conserving the village’s heritage. What makes it extra special is the treasure hunt designed for children — it’s such a clever idea! The kids had a blast hopping through the different historical rooms while learning at the same time. It kept them engaged and made the visit fun for the whole family. A great spot for both history lovers and families with young explorers!"

"This is a pretty decent place, for such a tiny little town. It's not very big, but you wouldn't expect it to be with such a small population. My dad, sister and I stopped in during a model plane show, or maybe it was trains. I can't quite recall. My dad had stacks of magazines for model trains that he wanted to give to the event so maybe a collector would like them, since he was just going to throw them out. They took them, but I must be honest. The people we spoke to, whom I assumed were organizers or staff of some sort, were not thankful at all, and didn't say thanks. They did take them, and could have said no if they didn't want them and we would have been on our way. They were trying to charge us to come in to drop off donated magazines, and they did not thank us. I thought that was impolite. Also, my other sister applied for a job here. She is a very hard worker and they would have been lucky to have her, but they ghosted her. I'm not giving the low rating because of that, to be clear. It is because of the ingratitude, not that I'm expecting them to kiss our feet for dropping off the magazines, but they were rude to a point that I noticed and it surprised me. Canadians are known for their manners."

"This is an interesting museum. Each of the buildings has items used in the 1800's and 1900's. It brings you back in time when you walk through the various buildings. You can walk into a wood cabin, general store, school house, church, blacksmith, firehouse, etc. There is a section where you can watch model trains moving along train tracts. This museum is worth checking out."
