What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
River Park Campground Wakamow is a generally good place to camp, with spacious sites and exceptionally clean washrooms and showers being major highlights. However, some visitors have noted that the grounds could be better maintained, and staff friendliness can be inconsistent. Despite minor drawbacks, many would choose to camp here again for its natural setting and convenient facilities.
"We found the campsites very accommodating and very nice once we found it traveling through town. We were traveling with another motorhome so we're able to get 2 campsites together, bonus. Washrooms with showers were kept very clean and nice that there was a security code on the main doors into the washrooms and showers. One negative point was the grass and dandelions were a bit tall and could have been mowed down. All in all we would definitely camp at this campground again in the future."
Barbara Schroeder
"Very ignorant young lady working try kicking us out 2 times for cars parked in wrong spots. Then we moved them and she came back 20 mins later and tried again saying other car were ours but they were not. We asked to speak to manager who was very nice and cleared it up."
John Newstead
"Staff wasn't super friendly, spots weren't cleaned up and not maintained, road isn't pre marked for the bridge that has a 5tonne weight rating. Drive way was super rough and dusty. Not the best. Would choose differently next time"
